Most visitors stop at Kuta, Seminyak, or maybe Uluwatu. But if you’ve got an explorer’s heart and a scooter, there’s so much more waiting for you. Over the years, we’ve made it our mission to find the best hidden beaches in Bali — untouched, peaceful, and incredibly beautiful.
Here are 7 secret beaches that we love — and we think you will too:
Nyang Nyang Beach
✦ Located in Uluwatu, Nyang Nyang requires a steep hike, but rewards you with a long stretch of white sand and barely a soul in sight.
➤ Tip: Bring water and avoid midday sun.
Bias Tugel (Near Padang Bai)
✦ Tucked just 10 mins from the Padang Bai port, this beach feels like a secret cove. Clear water, soft sand, and basic warungs.
Green Bowl Beach
✦ Surfers love this spot, but casual travelers often skip it. Quiet, raw, and perfect for sunset or solitude.
➤ Warning: Lots of stairs down and up!
Gunung Payung Beach
✦ A peaceful retreat with traditional seaweed farming still visible in some seasons. Less crowded than nearby Pandawa.
Tegal Wangi (Jimbaran)
✦ Amazing natural rock pools at low tide — perfect for Instagram but even better for a soak.
➤ Come just before sunset for a magical vibe.
Soka Beach (West Bali)
✦ Rarely mentioned online. Black sand, rugged coastline, and almost always empty. You’ll likely meet more cows than tourists.
Atuh Beach (Nusa Penida)
✦ Okay, technically not Bali mainland — but worth the mention. Far east on Nusa Penida with dramatic cliffs and crystal water.
Final Thoughts:
The beauty of Bali isn’t just in what’s popular. It’s in the quiet spots where the only sound is the ocean. Pack your bag, grab a scooter, and start exploring.
